Edna Bardsley Obituary

MARLBOROUGH Edna C. (Goguen) Bardsley of Marlborough, formerly of Waltham, died Monday, June 16, 2008, at Oak Knoll Nursing Home in Framingham. She was 88. Born in Cambridge, a daughter of the late Maglorie and Helene (Devau) Goguen, Edna had lived in Waltham for many years before moving to Marlborough. She worked as an inspector for Jarrell-Ash Company in Waltham for many years before it became Fisher Scientific Company. Edna also worked as a housekeeper at Brandeis University. She was the wife of the late William G. Bardsley, mother of the late Kenneth W. Bardsley and sister of the late Ned Goguen, Joseph Goguen, Beatrice Giruard, Louise Leger, Josephine Ward and Mabel Young. Edna leaves her daughter, Elizabeth L. Goguen and her husband, Paul, of Marlborough; her daughter-in-law, Mary Bardsley of Waltham; her grandchildren, Lynn, Steven, Andrea and Christina; one great-grandchild, Jessica; and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral at 9:30 a.m. Friday from the Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main St. (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a funeral Mass in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of ones choice. To offer condolences online please visit www.joycefuneralhome.com.
