Louise Bastarache Obituary

WALTHAM Mrs. Louise M. (Sirois) Bastarache, 63, of Waltham, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008, in her home. Born in St. Ludger, Quebec, Canada, a daughter of Melina (LaChance) Sirois of St Jean Baptiste, Quebec, and the late Desire Sirois, Louise had lived in Cambridge for many years before moving to Waltham in 1968. Louise worked for many years as a team leader for Bio-Medical in Waltham and, in her spare time, enjoyed camping in New Hampshire, knitting and crocheting. In addition to her mother, Louise leaves her husband Ovila (Jack) Bastarache; two daughters, Diane M. Mancuso and her husband, Joe, of Waltham and Nancy M. Johnson and her husband, Ron, of Chelmsford. Louise is also survived by 14 brothers and sisters, six grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 12, at 9 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main St., ( Rte. 20), Waltham, followed by a funeral Mass in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, Aug. 11, from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Partners Hospice, 281 Winter St., Suite 200, Waltham, MA 02451. I'd like to extend my deepest sympathies for your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Louise over the past 8 years. She was one of the "good ones" for sure. Blessings to you all...and may she find the peace that she so much deserves.
