Linda Comer Kirkpatrick

Linda Comer Kirkpatrick, 56, of Waynesboro, passed away early Friday, September 4, 2009, at Augusta Health.

Born June 21, 1953 in Staunton, she was the daughter of the late James Theodore and Frances Fay Floyd Comer.

She was a homemaker, loved flowers, her grandchildren and spending time with close friends.

Survivors include her husband, David Kirkpatrick; two sons, Michael Wayne Comer and his wife, Melissa, and James Earl Comer; three sisters, Carolyn Bennett and companion, Shelton Stevens, of Waynesboro, Mrs. Floyd "Bea" Snow of Crozet, and Norma Jean Lovo of Manassas; three grandchildren, Madison Elizabeth Comer, Austin Michael Comer and Marcus Hodges; as well as a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held 5 p.m. Saturday, September 12, 2009, at Ms. Carolyn Bennett's house, 418 Dooms Crossing Rd., Waynesboro, VA 22980.

Please bring a special memory and a covered dish for a time of fellowship.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Doctors and Nurses with the Intensive Care Unit at Augusta Health.
