Jacqueline Sharpe Roberts

Jacqueline Sharpe Roberts, 75, of Edgehill Way, Faber, died, Saturday, September 12, 2009, at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.

She was born on December 11, 1933, in Portsmouth, Virginia, a daughter of the late Thomas G. Sharpe and Dorothy Halstead Sharpe.

In addition to her parents, her brother, Thomas G. Sharpe, preceded her in death.

Jacqueline was an Administrative Assistant with Metlers Industries in Crystal City.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, William G. "Bill" Roberts; her son, W. Greg Roberts of Faber; and four sisters: Shirley Steel and Betty Seivert, both of Hampton, Virginia, Frances Barber of Norfolk, Virginia and Mary Bartel of Richmond, Virginia.

A Celebration of Jacqueline's Life will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, September 19, 2009, at Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel in Lovingston with Pastor Ernest Gheen officiating.

The family will receive friends at the residence prior to and following The Celebration of Life Service, and suggests that memorials take the form of donation to Nelson S.P.C.A. Almost Home Pet Adoption Center, 29 Stagebridge Road, Lovingston, Virginia 22949, or The Rockfish Valley Community Center.
