To My Best Friend;

Love is missing someone whenever you're apart,
but feeling warm inside because you're in my heart.

Chic a fil was my favorite nuggets but McDonald’s were good too
No matter where you went I went with you

We were a team, you and me
And I’m being cared for as you did for me.

This paw's for you Love Ace

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of Ted's family and friends during this sad time of grief. Ted has worked with us over the years and he was such a happy person everytime we would see him. He was always good to work with and seemed to make friends with everybody. We know he will be deeply missed.

We will miss Ted so much. His never ending sometimes painful hugs and his constant quest for Lizard Food are just a few of the memories that will be in our hearts. I hope we all find peace and have healed hearts. I love you Brandy and we're here if you need us.

September 29, 2009

Daddy as I sit here today its been almost a week since you left us. I have an ache in my chest that doesn't seem to stop but so they tell me with time it will heal. One of my friends sent me an email today with a poem attached for all of us kids and it really expresses everything that we are feeling right now. I love you and miss you and so do Tiff, Cody and Jay. But don't worry I will give them all the love and support that they need just as you gave to me. I will miss you so much and the only peace I have is that you are in a better place now. I'll be thinking of you every day and missing you always. Angel

We Can’t Believe You’re Gone

Dad, our sadness knows no end;
We can’t believe you’re gone;
We’re grieving for you every day;
It’s hard to carry on.

You were always there to support and care,
When we needed a true friend,
How we’ll ever do without our dad,
We cannot comprehend.

You were our teacher and our guide,
Our dad, so good and strong;
Your example will sustain us now,
And last our whole lives long.

We’re trying to communicate;
We hope that you can hear;
Expressing what we feel for you,
Helps us feel you’re near.

Our memories of the times we had
Help the pain to go away.
But Dad, our lives won’t be the same;
We’ll miss you every day.

A part of us went with you;
You left a gap too big to fill;
You’re our father and our hero;
We love you and we always will.

I am so sorry for your loss. My heart has been very heavy since I received the news. Ted gave everyone many memories and this is what will get you through all the pain that seems so hard. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone at this time. Everyone is on my mind constantly and I am praying that this nightmare will soon get easier. I want to thank Ted for the part he played in my loved ones lives. He will be truly missed by everyone. I did not get to come to the family night or funeral but my thoughts were with you and still are. I also enjoyed our time together on Friday. As I listened to the plans you were making for his funeral, I was so sorry to have to miss it. I know it was a great send off for him.

Love always,

well I dont know what to say except Brian and I just found out the news. Ted was a good friend of Brian's since the 70's, he came over to our house and ate dinner with us, we always saw Ted out and about. I dont know what to say except we will miss his smiling face, and good heart.

I am sorry for your lost and my heart goes out to you. Teddy and I went to school together. He had a great sense of humor and could always make you laugh. I just saw him in Wal-Mart about a month ago, I got a hug and he said "Well isn't this your lucky day? You got to see me." When I think of Teddy, I will always remember that day at Wal-Mart. I will always remember Teddy and from past experiences with losing a member of the family our loved ones might not be here in body, but they still are in spirit You have my deepest sympathies and may God bless you.

To "All" who loved my brother Ted

As I try to sort through this past week I have so many unanswered questions as most of you do. Please know that the strength we received from our family and friends was amazing. I am sure everyone who attended his service has a story to tell.... a memory to hold on to
So as I try to move forward to heal my broken heart I will do as my brother often did..... turn his hat around backwards and kick into another gear!
I have "wonderful memories" to hold on to for the long days ahead of me.
I loved him so -
May the memory of "Wildcat" live on forever in our hearts>

Ted always brought a smile to everyones face. A week after my husband died he sat down and told me he loved him dearly and cried real tears-it always touched my heart. He told me if there was anything I ever needed don't hesitate to call. He has always been a very dear friend of mine and I feel your grief and sorrow. If there is anything I can do for any of you please let me know. You have my deepest sympathy and prayers, may God Bless each of you. I know many people loved him dearly as I did. He will always be remembered.

I remember when I was about 8 years old, we moved to the countryside of Virginia. I was used to "city living" and had never been fishing. And Ted must've thought that fishing is a must-have skill that he had to teach me. I vividly remember Wayne and Ted sitting by the side of the pond baiting the hooks with REAL worms, after squishing it into pieces! I sat beside Ted all afternoon, cast after cast. Poor Wayne, he had to have squished two dozen worms that day and baited my hook at least three dozen times. I learned a lot that day; always let someone else squish the worms and keeping casting until you catch something. That day it didn't matter if I hooked my uncle's hat (I did!) or a record-breaking bass (I didn't)! The most important lesson learned was that is only take a moment to make a memory. Let your good memories of Ted comfort you and bring you peace.

September 25, 2009

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, ""I welcome you.""

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......""My day was not in vain.""
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
