News Death Notice
COURTNEY, Ferd A. Age 93, of Kettering, passed away Monday, August 31, 2009 at Bethany Lutheran Village. Ferd was born on June 30, 1916 in Berry, Kentucky to Andrew J. and Lizzie (Sowders) Courtney. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Louise Turner Courtney; his son, Bill Courtney; three sisters and two brothers. He is survived by his twin daughters, Jo Ann (Bill) Williams of Dayton and Jenny Lee Muller of Fayetteville GA; seven grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Ferd was employed by Dohrn Transfer Company for 37 years and a member of Teamsters Local #957. Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 3, 2009 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave. at Rahn Rd.
