Well its 2016 and I still cant forget what a good friend he was. Think of him every day and quote something he said. The man was refreshingly honest and would say exactly what he thought, like it or not! He,me and Lisa worked side by side every day for 12 years. He came over the morning he went in the early hours all fired up about his river trip and wanted me to go.Coldest day ever and my reply was" have you lost your mind?Last words I spoke to him.He loved Lisaand Riley so much but was too shy to brag about it.Want to reunite with Lisa but think it would be a very sad reunion.Doubt anyone will see this post but thought it was important to family and friends to keep him on our minds.Waterhead.

Dear Biles Family,

I went to school with Shane from third grade through high school. I will always remember Shane's wonderful sense of humor, infectious laugh, easy smile, and his true concern for others. The last time I talked to Shane was at the 1oth reunion where he proudly introduced us to his lovely wife. I am so sorry for your loss. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

To the Biles Family:

I was deeply saddened to hear the news of Shane's sudden and unexpected death. He was a great friend, wonderful football teammate, and passionate about doing good things for people. He was larger than life. I only wish I'd stayed in touch with him closer after we came back from our senior trip to South Padre Island twenty years ago. It seems like just yesterday that he talked us all into swimming out to the third sand bar. He always had a sense of adventure. Please accept my deepest sympathies. Sincerely, John

I haven't seen Shane since we were on the high school football team together. But he was a person that left an enduring impression.

We were both "Hogs" for Coach Peters on the offensive line. Shane was a huge presence for us--and not just for his size and his ability to grow a mustache at 16. He had an easy smile, team spirit, a great work ethic, and a way of putting people at ease.

Though we went different directions after high school--Shane to Alabama and me to the West Coast--I'd like to think that if we were close, we would be friends.

My deepest sympathies to his family. My thoughts are with you. If I can ever be of any help, do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,
David Amann

I just heard the news. Now that we've grown and gone our seperate ways, news doesn't travel so fast, unless it's the bad kind. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Shane was a sweet guy. All through school he always seemed to be full of light. He had a big heart, and was alot of fun. You could always count on that grin of his. (always looked like he was up to something, and probably was) I don't think I ever remember seeing him in a bad mood (unless something wasn't going right on the football field). He will be missed. God Bless & keep you in your time of need.

To the Biles family:

I heard the tragic news today from my friend Will Harper (Norman, Ok). I read the newspaper online and was stunned. I had great thoughts of High School with Shane. I always remember cruising in that red Trans Am with the T-tops off. I will always remember that great big laugh, and that HUGE smile Shane always had. I remembered the time I got hit head on by a linebacker that made me see double -- someone grabbed my facemask and said, "You, ok?" It was Shane watching out for me and walking me back to the huddle.

I sincerely wish I would have seen him as a man -- the comments read here make me see that he didn't change much.

Rest in Peace friend.

Will Harper

Michael Shane Biles was deeply caring about the things he loved. His family, his friends, his animals, and his many hobbies. Of which I am glad to say that he shared with me over the years. So many times he made me smile or laugh... It does my heart good to know that; he KNEW I was his FRIEND, and that he was mine. My prayer is for ALL that this tragic loss has come upon. That we be ready and willing to touch peoples lives for God, with the good that is within each of us. BETH WHITE HERRING
