Joris, Darwood R "Whitey"
Age 81, of Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly of Rochester NY, passed away July 3, 2008. He is preceded in death by his wife Rose. He is survived by his wife Shirley, 4 children Robert, Charlotte (Tom) Hogan, David (Dorothy), and Sheila (Pete) Potter. A sister Mabel (Duke) Unglaub and a brother Nelson. In addition he leaves 7 grandchildren David, Robin, Christopher, Michael, Joseph, Ashley and Kerri and 4 great-grandchildren Christopher Jr, Thomas, Joseph and Samuel, as well as several nieces and nephews. He served honorably in the US Navy and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Garden City, SC. The family is planning a Memorial Service to be held in Garden City, SC. Donations in his memory may be made to Knights of Columbus, K of C #8980 c/o John Giardino, 109 Blackriver Rd, Myrtle Beach, SC 29588.

We were so sorry to hear about Whitey. One of the guys at Hertz told us. My Dad really did enjoy working with him at Hertz and he will be missed! God Bless you all!
