Elaine Drexel Obituary
Rochester/Deland, FL: Died June 18, 2008, in Deland Florida. A Funeral Mass was celebrated on June 21st at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Elaine was 87, born on June 20, 1920. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Bernard Drexel; sons, Bernard, Daniel (Sandy) Jack (Gail); daughters Rose Marie Slay (Merle) of Gig Harbor Wash., Jeanne Cunningham-Bell (Bill) of Deland, FL; five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at All Souls Chapel at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 9th with interment to follow. Please meet at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Lake Ave. entrance (East Side). Memorial donations may be made to Florida Hospital Hospice Care, 770 West Granada Blvd., Suite 340, Ormond Beach, FL 32174.

I have such fond memories of years spent at the Drexel home...I thought it was so cool that Rosemarie had such a young mom and my mother was so much older. I remember her baking in the kitchen and being always busy with all the kids. I always glad that Rosemarie and the family were there for me when I lost my dad at 14. Though I haven't seen her in probably over 40 years, I always remember her with kind and happy memories. I am going to try to attend the memorial service, but if I am not able to get away from work, your family will be inmy thoughts and prayers today. Kathy (Cody) VanDuzer
