Our most heartfelt sympathy and prayers go out to you at this most difficult time. As your neighbors, we will always remember John taking the time to walk over and welcome us to the neighborhood and grant us such a warm reception. He had a kind smile on his face and really made us feel welcomed and appreciated.

I was one of the nurses that had the privaledge to care for John during his radiation treatments. No matter how much pain he was in, he always had a beautiful smile and a great hug. He always asked me how I was doing. The joy of seeing the treatments work so that he could walk without pain and go on a great vacation was a gift to see.
I will miss him. I will always remember his gentle spirit and his sparkle that lit up a room.
I pray that God will comfort the family and that John's laughter and the memories you made with him will be with you always.

I don't recall the first time I met John, but I do remember being won over by his infectious smile, easy laugh and gentle style. I remember a fun day we had together playing "frisbee golf" during a family reunion on a beautiful summer day in Powder Mill Park.

Kathy and Brian- we lost John too early and I feel so sorry for your loss. But take solace in knowing that he graced your lives and all of us were better off having known him.

I have known John for over 30 years and we worked together at Allstate Insurance for over a decade. We had many, many good times during those years and I will always remember his sense of humor, his kindness, his incredible loyalty and even his "iron-fisted" hand shake. Our thoughts and prayers are with Kathy and Brian.

Kathy,

Don't know if you remember us but some 32 years ago we met you and John through Linda and Al Tiberio. We remember immediately liking you and enjoying your company. Tom remembers the first time meeting John what a "firm" handshake he had. We're living in N.C. now by our 3 grandchildren but we still read the D&C every day and were saddened to read the notice.

We extend our deepest sympathy and will be praying for you and your entire family through this difficult time.

Sincerely,
Tom and Diane Dupre

John and I have been the best of friends, since we were five years old. He was my next door neighbor and a constant companion, all of my life. Despite living hundreds and sometimes thousands of miles apart, we remained close. I will miss his smile, his quick wit and his self-effacing humor. He and I called each other, "You Kids", as an elderly neighbor would always yell to us, "Get out of here, you kids". I will miss you, You Kids. God bless you and the wonderful family that you leave behind. We are comforted to know that your long and difficult struggle has come to a close and you are now, at peace.

The Bgwan was a very close friend and Brother in more ways than one. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those, like me, whom he touched.

I met John when I first started at Nothnagle. It was almost immediate that we clicked with humor and laughter...it wasn't long before he started calling me "Trouble" when we saw each other. His huge smile, heart and friendship will be missed by so many. I was glad to know him, we are all so lucky to have known such a brave sole and genuinely happy person. His family and friends are in my prayers.

This is a very sad day for me as John was a true friend and will always remain so in my heart. He was such a positive force with upbeat energy and encouragement to folks in his life. We will miss his humor, his smile and his energy at Habitat for Humanity. Our prayers and concerns go out to Kathy and the family at this time.
