Frind, Ralph W. "Bud"
Alloway: Age 89, of Alloway Rd., passed away at home on Sunday, June 29, 2008. Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service to be held Sunday, July 20, 2008, at 2 PM at the South Lyons Cemetery, followed by a Celebration of Life reception at the Lyons VFW Post 5092, Route 14, Lyons.
For those wishing, memorial contributions may be made to the Lyons Public Library, Broad St., Lyons, NY 14489, or to Lifetime Care, 1120 S. Main St., Newark, NY 14513.
Bud was born March 11, 1919, in Alloway, a son to Cleveland W. and Olga Carver Frind. He was a veteran of the Army Air Force during WWII. He was a plant manager for Hickok's in Lyons and retired from Mobil Chemical as a manager of Quality Control in 1981.
Bud was an avid outdoorsman, and had a special love for his hunting dogs and their training. He was a 55-year member of Humanity Lodge #406 and will be remembered by others as someone to help others in bettering themselves.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Helen; son, James W. (Mary Jane) Frind of Lyons; daughter, Linda Frind of Palmyra; grandson, Jay W. (Becca) Frind of Fairville; sister, Hattie Klage of Canandaigua; and several nieces.
