Mary Montante Obituary
Irondequoit: Monday, July 14, 2008 at the age of 79. Mary is survived by her children, Chuck (Suzanne), Ron (Raine) Montante, and Donna (Doug) Caton; grandchildren, Carrie (Gregg) Turkovich, Danielle & Jonathan Montante, Jonathan Schafer, Peter & Maria Montante, Aaron, Sean, & Emily Caton; 3 great grandchildren; brothers, sisters, nieces & nephews. Mary retired from the University of Rochester after 35 years of dedicated service. She was a member of the Charlotte Genesee Lighthouse Society. Mary will be remembered as a loving and very committed mother and grandmother.
The family wishes to extend a warm thank you to the staff and caregivers at the Riveredge Manor and Episcopal Church Home for their wonderful care and compassionate support.
Her family will receive friends WEDNESDAY 4-8 pm at the funeral home, where her funeral service will be held THURSDAY 10:00 AM. Entombment Irondequoit Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Episcopal Church Home, 505 Mt. Hope Ave, Rochester, NY 14620

I was lucky to have met your mom when I was 16. I always thought she was the most kind, soft spoken ,sincere, loving mom. I still have and use the sewing box she bought me, when my grandmother died. She will always be in my thoughts, her wonderfull laugh and beautiful smile.

I will always be thankful for the time that I was able to spend with your mother. She spoke so highly of her children and grandchildren and her love for you all was evident in everything that she did. She was a special woman and I will miss her greatly. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time.

So sorry for the loss of your mom. I am the girl who did the billing for your mom's daycare at Home and Heart of Penfield. I came across her notice in the paper. Again, I am so sorry. P.S. Still getting my resume together for you.
