Dawn Ames Obituary

Ames, Dawn Hall Hands
Spencerport: 4/19/1928 - 6/27/2008, Age 80. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife and mother, Dawn Ames.
Dawn was a graduate of the Eastman School of Music in 1949. She taught music for 20 years in the Holley Central School District. She was known for her love of music and her enthusiastic approach to life. Her smile was shared with, and will be remembered by, all who met her! She was a loving and generous wife, mother and grandmother - we will miss her dearly. Her music will play on in our hearts forever.
She was predeceased by parents Philip and Grace Hall, and step-daughter Tammy Bischoping. She is survived by her husband, Beryl Ames; and children: Jeffrey (Wendy) Hands, Marcie (Nick) Marsik, Susan (Dwayne) Granger, Debbie (Ronald) Granger, Bruce Ames; as well as numerous grandchildren.
Friends may call Friday July, 18th, 2-4 PM at the Home of Jeff Hands, 27 Greenbriar Dr., Rochester, NY. A private interment will be held Saturday, July 19th. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Eastman Pathways Program (for more information call 274.1040 or 866.345.2111).

I will always remember being welcomed into Mrs. Ames' home every Saturday morning for my piano lesson. I have never forgotten all that she taught me. My sympathies to the family.
