Capolino, Giuseppe "Joe"
Gates, Monday, July 14, 2008. Born in Formia, Italy on September 15, 1922. Predeceased by his father and mother, Vincenzo and Assunta Capolino. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Rosita "Marisa" (Vellozzi) Capolino; daughters, Anna Capolino, Lucia (David Blankfield) Capolino, Laura Capolino; grandchildren, Cynthia Martinez-Capolino, John Martinez-Capolino, Gianna and Nicole Blankfield, Jessica, Johnny and Jason Nitti; several brothers and sisters-in-law in Italy; special cousins, Anna and Damiano DiVasto; many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Road, Gates. On Friday morning, July 18, friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 9:30 in St. Theodore's Church. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center, 2652 Ridgeway Ave., 14626 or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in his memory.
