Dear Dr. Gluckman,
Yesterday I heard of the loss of your wife and I was shocked and saddened. And although its been almost a month since your loss, I know the pain is still fresh in your heart. You are a kind, generous person and have helped my animals so much, now I wish we could help you and your children ease the pain. I will keep all of you in my prayers. Carol Beechey, Katie & Doogan

Dear Stu, Ben and Bronwen,

Carrie was a good friend to me especially as a Christian artist. I know our friendship will persist pass the veil of this life and into the reality of Heaven. But for now, along with you, I miss her and can't help but wonder, what is Heaven like? What is Carrie experiencing right now? Can we even imagine it?

Perhaps we get glimpses here of the finger of God in a landscape, in the joy of a newborn, in a breathtaking starry night and, especially, in the unconditional love of a good friend and the undying bond of family. I know these were things that touched Carrie's artist-heart so deeply. And still do. She is, remarkably, alive now as I write this to you!

I know it doesn't feel like it but it's true. Jesus conquered death and only because of Him, so do we.

I will miss her until we are reunited. And until then, I'll keep you in my prayers.

Dear Dr. Gluckman and Family (the furry family members too).
Last night I attended one of the most beautiful services ever and I thank you so much for allowing all of us to share those memories with you and your family. I have wonderful memories of Doc. G, Bron and myself attending agility trials and having so much fun. One of my last ventures competing in agility trials inlcuded Carrie. I remember her being so impressed by Bron and could not believe her eyes. She knew Bronwen and Zabar had put in a lot of practice time but she never realized how good bronwen and Zabar had become so quickly. All of our dogs decided to be goofy that day and we all came back without a ribbon. Carrie was just so amazed and kept encouraging us and telling us how great we looked out there. She was proud of you Bron and she had a smile on the entire time. My mother has fond memories of conversations with Carrie. She also remembers Carrie bringing her a a beautiful flower a couple years ago when she brought Millie in to see her. It was a simple and out of the blue gesture but that was Carrie. Both my mother and I remember how kind she was. I just wanted to share this with you. I wish you well and most of all I wish you peace.

I remember being so impressed by Carrie when I met her at a La Leche League conference. She was a communication skills instructor and I thought of her often when I became one later. I was so glad to see her name on LLL lists again and thought we might meet at a conference again some day.

Carrie was an early role model for me as a La Leche League Leader. I was delighted to see her name again on our LLL e-mail list, and I am *stunned* to learn of her death. Please know that she will be remembered with great fondness and gratitude by people you don't remember or will never even meet, throughout the state and across the country. She was special.

If there is anything at all we can do, aside from our planned lasagna nights, you know my number.

Our wish for you all is to be patient and gentle with yourselves as you move through the loss of Carrie. She contributed much to others and we know how proud you were of her creativity and beauty.

To all the Gluckmans.
I was stunned when I opened the paper this morning and read about Carrie. I had just worked with her in June about becoming reactivated as a La Leche League Leader. Please know my prayers are with you all, and I hope that Carrie is being rewarded with an eternal life in the heaven that we all hope for ourselves one day.
