Dante Cambisi Obituary
"Don" "Donald" "Danny"
Rochester: Saturday, July 19, 2008. Predeceased by his loving wife, Hyla; parents, Christine and Camillo; brothers, Frank (Marianna), Joe (Nan) and Tom Cambisi; sisters, Mary Danielle, Christine (Sam) Villano and Hilda (Warren) Minster; brother-in-law, Louis Scipione; nephew, Alan Minster; and his special hunting buddy, Cappy. He is survived by his sister, Ellen (Cambisi) Scipione; sister-in-law, Lois Cambisi; son, Donald (Karlene) Cambisi; daughter, Sandra Patterson-Smith and her husband Gary Smith; grandchildren, Kristin and Daniel Cambisi, Michael and Christopher Patterson; many nieces, nephews & friends; and his special lady friend, Doris.
Dante was a veteran of both WW II (Pacific) and the Korean War. He had a passion for dancing and music. He loved hunting, fishing, golf and taking care of his park-like yard.
He was a well known beautician and businessman in New York City and in Rochester, having had shops in the area serving a large clientele. Dante continued to help people with his expertise in Hairdressing until just recently.
No prior calling hours. Family & friends are invited to meet at the Dewey Ave. entrance of Holy Sepulchre Cemetery where they will be directed to the Annunciation Chapel for a celebration of his life on Tuesday, July 22nd at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society or The Humane Society at Lollypop Farm in his memory.
