Bernard Gefell Obituary
Rochester: Saturday, July 19, 2008, at the age of 90. Predeceased by his wife, A. Dorothy; sons, Thomas and Donald; brothers and sisters, Joseph, Cornelius, Aloysius, Robert, Leo, Mary and Frances. He is survived by his children, Michael Gefell, Richard (Donna) Gefell, Margaret (Ken) Gleichauf, Dan (Maria) Gefell, Ginny (Addison) Steven, Cathy (John) Opaczewski; 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Rev. Msgr. Gerard J. Gefell of Cape Vincent; brothers and sisters-in-law, George Schropp, Bob (Barb) Schropp, Dorothy Therese SSJ, Jean Hogan; many nieces, nephews and friends. Bernard was a World War II Army veteran, avid gardener, and worked for many years at Wollensak Corp before retiring from Kodak. The family would like to thank the staff at Wesley Gardens and the 4th floor of The Heritage for their loving and excellent care.
Calling hours will be held MONDAY, 4-8 pm at the funeral home. Friends are invited to meet the family TUESDAY 12:00pm at ST. FRANCIS XAVIER/ HOLY REDEEMER CHURCH for his funeral mass. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

:( You're an angel now watching over us a long with grandma&the rest of our gang up there, but you will always be remembered as a kind,caring,wonderful, and cool grandpa. I think I can speak for all of us girls we had so much fun showing up at your doorstep when we were suppose to be playin outside and not buggin you guys, and most of all the laughs we shared at the silly notes and pics we would draw& anonymously leave for you and letting us rub your shaved head and hide behind the chair..we luv you and will miss you and please protect us! See you one day in the future:)
