George Huffer Obituary

Huffer, George E. Sr.
Wyoming: Age 78 of Saltvale Rd. Wyoming, died at home Thurs. 7/17/08. He was born, 4/9/30, son of the late Albert E. and Doris (Gemmings) Huffer. George lived in Wyoming, NY for 20 years with his loving companion Erma Kaczmarek. He lived most of his life in Brockport where he worked for and retired from the Brockport DPW in 1985 as a maintenance worker. He was predeceased by two brothers; Jack and Richard Huffer. George is survived by 5 sons; Gary Huffer of Belmont, Michael (Kim) Huffer of Greece, Gregory Huffer of Hamlin, George Huffer Jr. of Groveland, and Dennis (Rebecca) Huffer of Warsaw, a Daughter Merry (Noe) Avendaño of Brockport, a sister; Maggie (John) Bennett of Hilton. Also surviving is a longtime friend Wilda Keller of Bergen, a stepson, John Kaczmarek of Wyoming, 2 brothers; Robert (Barbara) Huffer, and Ronald (Pauline) Huffer both of Hamlin, 24 grand and 25 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews also survive.
Friends of George E. Huffer Sr. may call at the Weeks Funeral Home, 123 N. Main St., Warsaw on Fri., July 25th from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Please visit weeksfuneral.com to offer condolences. Funeral services will be held at Weeks at 11am on Sat. 7/26/08 with Rev. Doug Evans of the Wyoming Baptist Church celebrating. Burial will be in the Warsaw Cemetery with full military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice or the Disabled American Veterans.
