Predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Perry Robinson; Forever cherished by his wife, Portia; children, Tevon Levert Smith, Nivek Tisdale Smith, Terrell Lawhorn Smith and Oscar T. Smith, Jr.; his parents, Sandra (Elliot) McPhatter and Douglas Smith; brothers, Timothy Smith, Elliot, Evan & Eric McPhatter; sister, Diamond Smith; brothers-in-law, Dontise Oliver and Semaj Lester; mother-in-law, Sereena Martin; paternal grandparents, Barbara & Robert Smith; maternal grandparents, Doris & Warner Sanders; special uncle, Michael Robinson; best friend, Sheria Whitlock; and a host of other relatives.

Sandra, Dougie and Respective Family,
I'm at a loss for words. I was so saddened when I heard about what happened. I too know Terrell as "Buga". Before I left Rochester, I only would see the twins in passing. Jackie has kept me informed on all the going's on with our mutual contacts in Rochester. Sandra and Dougie, you both were like a big brother and sister to me. I extend my deepest sympathies to you both. I know "Buga" is in a better place now, but he'll definitely be greatly missed. I'm sorry I wasn't able to get up there, but know that you were in my heart and prayers. Not just for now...but for always. RIP Terrell aka "Buga".

I'm sorry to hear of the passing of your beloved Son, Nephew, Brother Father and Friend.
Please know that my deepest prayers and sympathies go out to each of you.
Mike, I can still remember the joy you showed when your nephew's were 1st born. I just had a visual flash back of your bright warm unique smile. Your sharing with me, the joy that the twins brought to your life. Remember those babysitting days.... :-) ....I'm sure over the years your relationship with your nephews have grown and blossomed beautifully. I hope you and your family are finding comfort & strength in each other and peace knowing that "Terrell" is in a better place. Please understand that one day you will be in the presence of one another again !! Geoff sent his obituary and I said to myself, now is the time to reach out to a treasured childhood friend. A special someone I've missed alot over the years. I pray that these word reach you and that we rekindle our special friendship before we are called home. I have always inquired on how you were doing? Where you were at? What you were up to? etc....I've heard that you've done quite well for yourself. We always knew you would make wise choices that lead to a successful life. One would say after reading of "Terrell" this is a family characteristic.
