My family and I have thought of James as one of "our boys" for years now, he was one of our "no knock kids", and was always welcome in our home day or night and has been a true joy and blessing to all of us with his humor, intelligence and true caring for people. He was the one who could adjust the carb on Shane's(10) dirt bike, talk Maggie(14) out of one of her "moods", and stuck close to my Logan (17) for a year and a half when he was going through a rough time. He was a brother to Dylan and Cole and like an extra son to my husband Art and I, always willing to help out, always showing a maturity beyond his young years. As others have said on this page, I will miss the cup of coffe perenially in his hand, the deep conversations in my kitchen, our times down at Troutburg and his beautiful smile. Sue & Dan, the love and graciousness shown by you and your other kids shown to us durring Dylan's hospitalization, and since shows where all his wonderful qualitys come from, you have every reason to be nothing but proud of this wonderful, polite, articulate and loving young man and he will be remembered, missed and loved by our whole family forever, his untimely loss has left a whole in our lives that can never be filled, and we would never want it to be. With all our love we send to you our condolences and prayers, Joann, Arti, Cole, Dylan, Logan, Maggie and Shane DiPilato

James was one of the one of the most educated people I knew despite never going to college. He was well read in just about every subject and one of my favorite conversationalists. I used to get mad at him because whenever we had a debate, I couldn't get a word in edge-wise. He would dominate the conversation with supporting facts and statistics and when it was finally my turn to speak, it was too late. By then, he'd have made such a powerful arguement I was on his side. I'll miss James a lot, my thoughts and prayers are with his family, & his memory is in my heart...

I met James through my son Darren, he was affectionately know as "Brother James", he was truely a brother to Darren. James was very kind, and respectful, and will truelly be missed.

I didn't get the chance to see him recently, but James was one of the sweetest, most fun-loving people I have come across. He will be missed by many.

James....u were one of the most unique individuals that I was always so proud of....despite all the drama. You set your standards high for yourself and you always managed to succeed no matter what anyone told you! I am going to miss those unique conversations with my nephew over our many cups of coffee. I miss you James and I will always love you.
