Amedeo Zona Obituary
Gates: Tuesday, July 29, 2008. He is survived by his loving wife, Ada Zona; sons, Anthony (Elaine) Zona, Gaetano (Lori) Zona; grandsons, Amedeo, Mario, Anthony & Nicholas; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. Amedeo was a retiree of Delco Products and a member of Eagles Club, IACC and the Knights of Columbus.
Friends may call FRIDAY ONLY 4:00-8:00 PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home Inc., 219 Spencerport Rd., Gates. On Saturday, Aug. 2, friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM in St. Jude's Church, 4100 Lyell Rd. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105 in his memory.

We were not aware of Mr. Zona's passing until this week, otherwise we would have attended his wake. We wish to extend our sincerest sympathies to Tony, Elaine, Amedeo & Mario.

I remember Mr Zona as a boy when I played Gates Little Guy Soccer. His son Guy played on our team. Mr. Zona was always such a nice man and he regularly helped out my Dad (Bob Hartman) who was the coach. He will be greatly missed.
