Barbara Scalzo Obituary

Scalzo, Barbara A.
Rushville: Barbara Scalzo, 64, August 2, 2008, at F.F. Thompson Hospital. Barbara was born in Rochester on July 20, 1944, to the late Frederick and Mary Maxwell Dixon. She was a graduate of St. Mary's Hospital School of Nursing and had been a registered nurse at St. Mary's Hospital, Strong Memorial, F.F. Thompson and retired from the V.A. Medical Center in Canandaigua after 21 years of service. She later worked for the Clifton Springs Hospital. Barbara was a member of St. Mary's Church, Canandaigua. She is survived by her husband, Frank B. Scalzo, Jr.; her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Christopher M. Scalzo and Hanney Sarkis-Scalzo; her grandchildren, Rachel, Christina & Thomas Scalzo; her sister-in-law, Sandra Dixon; her brother-in-law, John (Gerry) Petrilli; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Fred Dixon.
There will be no prior calling hours. Barbara's Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church, North Main St., Canandaigua at 10:00 am. on Friday, August 8. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Rushville.

I knew Mrs.Scalzo from Schooners Restaurant. She came in every week with a Smile on her face like she had no cares in the World. She will be missed by all. Prayers go out to all her Family.
