Shirley, you gave me confidence in healing my son when all was lost inside me. You
never gave up on the hope Michael would survive and I held on to that hope and knew your unconditional love would walk me through the hard time. You lived your faith in countless "little ways" for your family and those you loved, as ST. Theresa. You taught Jean the gift of the loaves and fishes. There always seemed to be enough food for the table of many
guests, only a few for dinner, two to forty, and somehow she multiplied and there was always enough for that miracle and many others I love you Johanna

I miss my grandmother and all the things we shared. I only regret to never be able to do justice in explaining to others, her life and her lasting impression on all she touched.

Mom,There really are no words to express how much you meant and still mean to me. Everyday i find myself doing something the way you had taught me too. I hope I can be a truly wonderful woman like you. You probably don't even know how many lives that you have touched. And mom you would be so proud of Dad he took such great care of you and I think that has been so helpful for him to know that, now that you are gone.I love you and miss you every single day. I know that you are so much healthier now and can watch over all of us. love Jean Marie

Family of Shirley:
My thoughts are with you daily and I pray as time passes that you begin to heal. I remember Shirley and how generous she was always having the Marquardt clan over for big gatherings. She always made us a part of her family. She is missed.

Gram - Words can't begin to express how much I miss you. It will be almost two months since you left us and I think about you everyday!! Mom and I talk about you a lot...we laugh, cry and try not to forget all that you have given us. I consider myself a lucky woman to call you my grandmother as well as my friend. There will be many moments in the future I will need/want you more than ever, like the day I walk down the aisle...I know you will be with me always! I love you Monga.

We will miss you so much, Gram...You had a special way of touching the hearts of everyone you came across and inspiring them to be better people. To know you was a privilege...but to be able to call you my Grandma was truly an honor. Your legacy lives on with not only with your children, godchildren and grandchildren but also with all those people whose hearts you touched and lives you enriched.

Sister Shirley was my best friend and more than a sister-in-law to me. We talked daily. We had many parties together. I think about the past daily and the good memories I have of her and that is what I want to remember. To you Gene who has touched my life as much as Shirley may God give you peace. To all my nieces and nephew who I love very much. She is watching over us. God has her right by his side.
