Bridget: Sending you and your family my prayers and sympathy as you mourn the loss of your father. I have fond memories of him at First National Bank where he worked with my mom. May your memories always keep him with you. Sue Ellen Sisler Cousino

Hard to imagine the Fitzpatrick family without their patriarch. I will always remember early morning wrestling, the great hearty laugh, the classic hair shifting, and those sparkling Irish eyes. I will miss you so much Opa. Wish I could be there to say goodbye...

I was saddened to hear the news that Mr Fitzpatrick had passed. He always had a smile or a laugh when I was growing up in Dekalb. He was the guy you wanted to talk to at a party or after church because no matter the occasion he could say the right thing. He was a lot of fun and that will be missed. Although I have not seen him for several years, I have fond memories of his good spirit. I am sure he will probably make St. Peter laugh on the way through the gates. God bless.

What a great guy! The quintessential, always animated Irish face! Owen should have been John Wayne's second in the fight scenes of the classic movie, "The Quiet Man." When Owen & family visited the Klems on Elmdorf Ave. in Rochester, the highlight of my day was when after teasing "The Big O" with the likes of "Can't Catch Me. . ." he'd put on his really scary Irish Mad Bomber look, say "When I get you, there wont be much left. . ." and lunge at me with those rock-crusher hands and Popeye arms. I'd run for my life and when I finally looked back, Owen would be laughing his head off. What a great guy!
