Smith, Michael Vincent "Smitty" (MSGT, USAF Ret.)
Rochester: Michael passed away on August 5, 2008 and is now eternally in God's loving hands. The Lord blessed Michael's family with extra time with Michael this past year, and the family is so grateful for this time. Predeceased by his parents, Charles and Rita Smith; brother, Steven Smith; and sister, Theresa Smith. Survived by his children, Michael (Siobhan) Smith and Kathleen (Louis) Smith Seaver, and the mother of his children, Elizabeth Mary Rebar; 8 grandchildren, Meredith, Cameron, Maureen, McKenna, Thomas Michael, Kendall, Caleigh, and Matthew; sisters, Patricia (Philip) Anthony, and Christine McBride. Also survived by nieces and nephews, Jeff, Anne-Marie, Chris, Joy, Mike, Jeremy, and Vicki.
Michael was a decorated veteran of the U.S. Air Force, retiring after 20 years of active duty. He was an avid reader, a lover of language and truly loved his family, friends, and good 'ole Irish Cheer.
Memorial contributions may be made to Strong Memorial Hospital Cardiology c/o Lorraine Hillman, PO Box 679-A, Rochester, NY 14642. Service and interment were held on Friday, Aug. 8th.
