Marcotte, Hedy M.
Greece: Suddenly, August 10, 2008. Survived by her beloved husband, Robert; sons, Alan (Lisa) Walts of MA, Bob (Amy) Walts; daughter, Lisa (Jeffrey) Clark; first husband, Robert Walts; grandchildren, Alex and Aja Walts, Jeffrey, Joseph, and Julianna Clark. A native of Frankfurt, Germany, Hedy survived the bombing of that city during WW II. She came to the US after the war to marry Robert Walts, a serviceman she met in Frankfurt. She worked at Rochester Savings Bank before starting a family and was active in Greece politics serving as a member of the Town Planning Board in the mid 1970's. She later married Bob Marcotte. She devoted her life to her children and grandchildren.
Friends may call Wednesday, 4-7 PM at Younglove-Smith & Ryan Funeral Home, 777 Long Pond Road (between English and Latta). Memorial Service 10 AM Thursday at Christ the Good Shepherd Church, 1000 N. Winton Rd. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society at Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Rd., Fairport, NY 14450.

To Hedy's Family:

I worked with Hedy at the Greece Pennysaver in the 1980's. She was also a friend of my mother's, Pat Cieslinski, who is now also deceased. Hedy was a very nice woman with a wonderful smile and "slight" accent. I am sure that she will be missed. My thoughts are with you.
