Vera Martz Obituary
East Rochester: Vera Martz, 88, of Englewood, FL died Monday, August 11, 2008 at Englewood Community Hospital. Born on November 5, 1919 in Ellenburg, NY, she had been a resident of Florida for 3 years coming from East Rochester, NY. Vera was a loving homemaker for her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Chauncey. Survivors include her sisters-in-law, Marguerite (Harold) Feasel of Englewood, FL & Delores Peets of Manchester, NY; several nieces, nephews & cousins.
Friends may call SATURDAY MORNING from 10-11am at the HARLOFF Funeral Home, 803 South Washington Street in East Rochester where a funeral service for Vera will be held at the conclusion of the calling (11:00am). Interment in White Haven Memorial Park. Contributions in Vera's memory may be made to Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 782, Englewood, FL 34295.

Aunt Sis, you took care of our Dad all of those years..your brother Tom...
We loved to visit you and uncle Chauncey every summer at your home in East Rochester and the cottage on Honeye lake..so many memories..
Fishing,games,swimming, you treated us like your own children..
I love you Aunt Sis...

Vera and Chauncy watched me grow up each summer on Honeoye Lake. I visited Vera in her Florida residence just before she moved to her sister - in - laws. Then unfortunately after she moved, I lost track of her as she could not provide me the address at the time of my visit. I was closer to Vera and Chauncy than I was my own Aunts and Uncles. They watched all of the kids and grandkids learn to swim, ski and boat. Placing special emphasis on our Fourth of July gatherings each year. I have many happy memories and feel such a loss of such a close family member. God Bless! and I will be visiting Vera and Chauncy very soon at White Haven to pay my respects. I did not hear of Vera's passing until today or I would have been at the services Saturday.
Our quiet street in Honeoye has never been the same since the passing of Chauncy and Vera left for Florida.
