Rochester: Suddenly, August 10, 2008. He is survived by his wife, Mary VanDenburgh-Meldrum; children, Vanessa Salisbury (Sean Lasher) of Rotterdam, NY and Patrick Salisbury of Rochester; grandson, Alex Conti; father, Robert Meldrum of Granville, NY; mother, Dorothea Meldrum of Corinth, NY; sisters, Andrea (Steve) Sopko of Troy, NY, Megan Meldrum, Corinth, NY, Caitlin Wolcott of Schenectady, NY; brothers, David Meldrum of England and Michael Cashman of Glens Falls, NY; numerous sister and brother-in-laws; nieces and nephews. Sean was an Assistant Faculty Member with the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Rochester.
Friends may call Friday, 4-7 PM at the funeral chapel (2305 Monroe Ave.) where a Service will be held Saturday, 11 AM. Friends are invited to bring a written memory or photo of Sean for the family's Memory Book. Contributions in his memory may be made to Planned Parenthood, 114 University Ave., Rochester, NY 14605 or the Westside Health Services, Inc., Attn: Lisa Olscamp, 480 Genesee St., Rochester, NY 14611. I was a co-worker and friend to Sean. He was a pleasure to know and memories of him will always bring a smile to me.
I will always remember Sean as a man who liked his food. He always took pleasure in taking me (a simple meat and potatoes man) to some very exotic resturants.
He will be missed.

We have all lost a wonderful person. Sean was one of those special people who came through the Health Department on the way to greater contributions to our society. I miss his wit and intellect.
