Uncle Gene,
You were a special uncle to me. I know my mother loved you very much. The last few years you have been the patriarch of our family, holding many memories and stories that you shared at other wakes of other loved ones. Know you will not be forgotten by me. Wishing you peace and love.

My condolances on Gene's passing. I always respected how he worked hard as a mailman then went to work at the boat store just to take care of his family. He was a great Father-in-law and I'm glad I had the opportunity to call him "Dad". The last time I got to see Gene was when I had the honor of giving him Communion at my mom's funeral.
Gene's passing was just a few days from the three year anniversary of my mom's. There was a bond between my mom Agnes and Gene. They could carry on a conversation in a "mumble" that we couldn't understand, but both know exactly what was being said. I'm sure my Mom is showing Gene around heaven today. Sandy, Doug, Elaine & families, you are in my thoughts and prayers.
