Paul, Sorry I wasn't there. I was out of town. I always remember your mom being there for us and all the times she drove us to school. Remember the time we made pizza at your house and we had a great time. I will always remember your mom and everything she did for our family. My condolences to you and your family.

Libbie, Lena and Paul and the rest of the family--I am so sorry to read of Rachel's passing. I will always remember all the fun I had when I was in the company of your entire family all those many years ago. She always made me laugh--she was a wonderful friendly person, as all of you are.
I am sure Paul has no idea of who I am but I sure remember him and taking him and my brother to a hockey game or two when I was still employed at McCurdy's. My love and hugs to all the fmaily.

My childhood days were brighter because Rachel and son, Paul were our neighbors across the street. My mom did not drive, so while my dad was at work, Rachel was our "wheels to the world." She would watch us when our parents had a night out and she was always there in time of need. She and my mom had a communication system with their window blinds/shades to assure they could check on each other by just looking out the window. Many happy times were spent with Rachel, her family and other neighbors. My condolences to Paul, Debby, Libbie, Lena, Gerry and all.

Aunt Rachel was very special to me and I will miss her. I always enjoyed her company and every meal at her house was special. Dinner at Rachel’s was a coveted event. After I moved away from Rochester, I always looked forward to visiting Aunt Rachel, and upon returning to LA I would boast about the great home cooking and warm treatment I got from her. All my close friends know about Aunt Rachel, though they would be lucky if I shared any of my care packages! I believe her special brand of love was her secret ingredient, after all any cook can shop at Wegmans. Perhaps that is why many have tried, but none could ever duplicate her famous cookies. She was a genuinely beautiful person and made the world a better place.

I worked with Rachel at Wegmans Midtown from 1982 - 1989, and saw her occasionally after that. She was one of the sweetest ladies I have ever met, and I will always remember her warm smile, delightful sense of humor, and great love for her family. May God keep Rachel in His Care.
