Dear Tim and family
My thoughts and prayers go out to you, hoping that you will be blessed with the strength and love of family and friends in the coming days. I remember when I first met Dale, new to our nursing community, and in need of encouragement and support. She grew so quickly and became a positive contributor and then strong leader, admired by all. She will be greatly missed.

Dr McMeekin:

I am so sorry for your loss. I just lost my husband in March from the same dreaded disease so I understand and feel what you are going through. We have shared stories of our spouses battles during my appointments with you. We were very lucky to have such strong people in our lives and from them we have learned how to deal with the uncertainies of life.

May you find comfort in knowing that she is no longer suffereing. You as well as we fought a long hard battle and even though we will miss them everyday of our lives we no longer have to sit and watch them suffer. They may be out of our sight but never out of our hearts.

Stay strong you WILL feel her presence with you ....look for the signs they will be there.

Dear Dr. McMeekin,

Although I only knew Dale from coming into your office for appointments, I will never forget the day that you both told me that you were getting married. I could see the glow on both of your faces. That has stuck with me all these years. It appears that you both had great love and admiration for each other. I was so happy for both of you. I am certain that you both filled the years that you were together, with beautiful, unforgetable memories that will last for eternity. You took such good care of Dale during her battle and should be comforted in knowing that she left this earth with feelings of peace, love and tranquility. May she now give you the comfort and strength that you need in the times ahead, to move on without her. I am so sorry for the loss of such a wonderful woman. God Bless.
