Ann Kittelsen Obituary

Kittelsen, Ann F.
Irondequoit: Survived and greatly missed by her husband Guy of 54 years; daughters, Karen (Tom) Stefanski, Gail Kittelsen; son, Douglas (Cynthia McBride); brother, Harold Farmer; grandchildren, Timothy, Nicholas, Kelsey, Shannon; nephews and nieces. Ann was born and brought up in New York City and came to Rochester in 1954 with Guy. She served as a Sunday School teacher for over 40 years, the last 15 at Resurrection Lutheran Church where she became Superintendent and finally served as Church Council President for 6 years. Ann also was a choir member for 25 years.
She was active with the Y Wives and a member of the board of the YWCA. As a longtime volunteer at the Evans Branch of the Irondequoit Public Library, she was one of the very few who went on to become an employee for 8 years and then volunteered again after retirement. She enjoyed being a member of the Weather of Not Garden Club for 10 years and served a term as President. Ann and Guy loved to travel-they were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to travel throughout the US and abroad-but they always loved coming home to Irondequoit.
Her family will receive friends THURSDAY 2-4 & 7-9pm at the funeral home. Friends are invited to meet the family SATURDAY 10:00 AM at LUTHERAN CHURCH OF THE RESURRECTON for her memorial service. Interment will be private at Riverside Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Music Fund of Resurrection Lutheran Church, or Sunset House Hospice. www.sunsethouse.info. PAUL W. HARRIS FUNERAL HOME
