Neal Wiesner Obituary

Wiesner, Neal J.
Irondequoit: August 14, 2008 at the age of 68, after a short battle with cancer. He is survived by his brothers, Philip (Arlene) Wiesner of FL., and Kevin (Joanne) Wiesner of VA; nieces, Elizabeth, Kathleen Wiesner; nephew, Brien Davis; and many cousins. Neal was born on April 9, 1940 to the late Charles and Florence Wiesner. He was a life long residence of Rochester. Neal was a graduate of Franklin High School. He served a 2 year tour of duty in the Army in Alaska. He returned to Rochester and worked for the Rochester Drug Cooperative until his retirement in 2005. Neal was a dedicated volunteer fireman with the Laurelton Fire Department for 42 years. He was a very loving son who took great care of his parents in their later years.
A Celebration of Neal's life will be held Thursday, August 21, 2008 at 3:00 PM in Peace of Christ Parish at St. Ambrose Church. Family will receive friends Thursday 4:00-7:00 PM at the Laurelton Fire Department, 405 Empire Blvd. Memorial donations may be made to the Laurelton Fire Deptment or a charity of your choice. The family wishes to express thanks to all of Neal's loyal and caring friends, especially the dedicated men and women of Laurelton Fire Department and employees at Cranberry Landing Senior Living Apartments. A very special thanks to life long friends Walt and Roberta Holahan who brought exceptionally support and love to Neal throughout his life.

We just found out today about Neal's passing and are very sad. Neal was our neighbor, a very caring person, who was always there to offer a cheerful hello and kind word. We will miss him and hope that he will rest in peace along with his wonderful parents whom we also had the pleasure of knowing over the years. We will miss you Neal!!
