Michael Schettine Obituary
Dansville: August 19, 2008 at age 48. Mike passed away at peace after unexpected medical complications. He leaves behind his loving fiance, Patricia Holling; his daughter, his pride and joy, Kari Schettine; his special daughter Nickie Bourg; all of Dansville. Parents, Jack (Bonnie) Schettine of Wellsville, Linda (Ron) Carson of Waterloo; siblings, Theresa Schettine of Geneseo, Tony (Deanna) Schettine of Silver Creek, NY, Joseph (Marsha) Schettine of Elmore, OH, Julianne Georgeski of Hornell, Katrina (Gordon Loscombe) Tinker of Linwood, Tisa (Derek) Robbins of Wellsville, Tasha (Joe) Emery of Wellsville; stepbrother, Chris Carson of Loomis, CA; many much loved nephews, nieces, cousins, uncles, aunts. Also friends, not the least, his brother in hearts, Cliff (Karen) Evert of Rochester.
Mike had a lifelong appreciation of nature, enjoying fishing, wildlife, hunting, photography. He also loved playing chess and his dogs Buddy and Dukey.
Friends may call Friday 2-4, 6-8 PM at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc. Routes 15 & 20A, (21 Big Tree St.) Livonia where services will be held Saturday at 10 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to Strong Heart and Vascular Center, 7th Floor, 601 Elmwood Ave. Rochester, NY 14642

I have had the pleasure of working with Mike over the past 10 years both directly and indirectly. The past three years have been directly with Mike being supervisor of Tiger team at RAF Tabtronics I have learned many lessons from him one being to always be prepared, second I will never have all the answers on my first try. Thanks for being a great supervisor. We miss you and you will be forever in our thoughts.

I have enjoyed working in the Tiger Team with Mike for the past 4 years. I have learned alot from him over these 4 years that will help me to continue to do my job better. He is a good mentor and a good friend. He will be missed deeply.

I miss Mike very much! He and I did not always see "eye to eye" but he always listened to my point of view.
I will always remember him with great fondness.
May God help all of you (Pattie, Kari, Nickie and the whole family) to get through this difficult time.

Michael,
You were (are) truly my soulmate, my teacher and my friend. My memories of you will live forever in my heart. I will continue to appreciate the things that you taught me about life and nature. I truly believe that you will protect and love me from heaven as well as you did from here. I know you will keep a close eye on all your girls. Thank you for everything. BTW, your jokes were kinda funny:).

I remember Mike's winter Iron Man campouts - it always seemed to be the coldest weekend of the entire winter. I remember hoping that he was able to keep warm and really enjoy that time - if you can enjoy freezing and camping. I liked to listen to his stories after his fishing trips and look at the pictures he took - usually of a flower rather than the entire vista - I guess that is another sign of his attention to details. Mike will be very much missed and Pattie and his girls are in my thoughts and prayers. My heart aches for all of his family.

My time with Mike was far too short. He was a great guy. Easy to get along with. Not a bad word to say. I was lucky enough to spend a few days in a boat with him, shared many hands of cards, and had good moments with Mike, Cliff and the rest. The time I spent with Mike was too brief, however, some things will never be the same without him. My best wishes go out to all of his friends and family.

Michael has been a friend and valued team member at our company for eleven years. Michael cared about quality and was always a stickler for the details. Most of all, Mike cared deeply about his fellow team members, his loved ones, and his love of live. Michael will forever be in our hearts and minds.

I have worked in the same factory as Mike for 7 years, but I have been moved to a position in the factory that allowed me to work directly with him. He like many people had there good days and bad days, but he had respect for many people and many things, and for that I had respect for him. He will be deeply missed and remembered and thought of always...thank you Mike for all that you have taught me and the respect you have given. My thought and prayers are with his family and friends
