I'm sorry to learn of Bob's passing. He was my Social Work advisor in college in the early 1980's and I remember him as kind and helpful. My condolences to his friends and family.

So sorry to hear of the sad amd untimely death of Bob Milton. During the 28 years when I have visited the College I have spent many hours with Bob discussing Fducation issues when he was Dean and later at Saratoga. A great man and a great loss

I had the pleasure of working as Bob’s secretary for the past several years. He will be remembered for his integrity, honor, passion for life, and great sense of humor. He was never without a warm smile, a kind word, and always made time for those around him.

My fondest memories of Bob are us talking about our families; our hopes and dreams for our kids. He was so very proud of the adults his children, Steve, David and Leah, had become.

Although he was taken from this world far too soon, he touched the lives of many, many people. I feel very blessed to have known him as a boss and as a friend.

Hey Bob,

This is not fair.....This is not happening. We have so much left to do, the golfing, the track, baseball games, and very special talks. You were a very special man. You touched so many lives and they are better for that. We will all miss you very much and our prayers are with you.

Love,

Your big brother--Don

Hey Bob,

Its not fair....This is not happening. We still have too many things to do....the golfing, the track, the ballgames, the fun and especially the talks. You know you were not only my brother, but also my very best friend. Now you are gone and there is such a great chasm in my heart and life, as I am sure there is in many others whom you touched. You will be greatly missed by all of us.

Love,
Don

I had the opportunity to share some special times with Bob (Thanksgiving last year) and his wonderful family.
He always had a smile on his face and a warm hello when he greeted you. He loved his family and his work so much. He touched me in such a special way and I am deeply saddened for his family. May God bring you strength, comfort with each other during this difficult time.
Sincerely, Carla Smith

I first knew Bob Milton as an outstanding dean at Empire State College's Rochester location. He later became our department's "boss" when promoted to VP, Enrollment Management. He had very high standards, but was always courteous, gracious and friendly, trying to find a way to resolve challenges to benefit all.

I was shocked to hear of Bob's untimely death. He was a great admininstrator, and his shoes will be difficult to fill.
