Memories of our childhoods spent together flood back at this time. There were many wonderful times spent with your family. We're sorry that we were not able to be with you at the services, but know that you are all in our thoughts.

Dear Aartje, Klaas, Wilma, Peter, Richard and Susan: Dave and I send our sincerest sympathy to all of you. Your Mom was a very special person. I have fond memories of her from Aartje and my high school years. She was always very kind and straightforward - two wonderful qualities. I admired her strength and great love for her family. Her children are proof of the wonderful mother she was. We send our love to all of you.

Mrs. Van Essen was my mother's dearest friend for years -- the two of them would chatter in Dutch to exclude the rest of us! And Jennie was always generous with her time and concern for both my parents in their last years. She was a wonderful woman!
