"Sarge"
Dansville: Unexpectedly on 8/27/08, at age 56. US Army Retired 1st Sergeant. Husband of Karen Howell (Van Winkle). Also survived by his mother, Mildred Howell of GA; seven children, Joseph (Shirley) Cox, of Dansville, Twila Howell, of FL, Jason (Mekka) Cox, of Dansville, Tabitha (Jose) Howell, of FL, Albert David (Ella) Howell, of Germany, Daniel (Jessie) Howell, of Sparta, and Cassie (Kevin) Gunderson, of Dansville; a brother, Wallace (Rhonda) Howell; two sisters, Judy (Guan) Garrison and Joan (Greg) Broxton, all of GA. Ten grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his father, Walter Howell.
Calling Sunday, 11:00am to 3:00pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville. Services will be held Monday at 11:00 am in the Dansville United Methodist Church, Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Dansville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Dansville Ambulance Fund, PO Box 235, Dansville, NY 14437, or the Livingston County Hospice, 2 Murray Hill Drive, Mt. Morris, NY 14510, or a charity of choice.

My family,
I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Freddie's passing. I can't remember when the last time was that I saw him, but I can remember he and Mama comparing scars (guess they don't have to worry about those anymore!).
I know what it's like to lose a parent, but as to losing a spouse, a child or brother; all I can do is say that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
