Nancy and family and Gary
I just learned yesterday from my brother, Dick, that your mom had passed away. Coincidentally, she died on our mother (Clara's 89th birthday) We had gathered at the farm on Freshour Rd with her to picnic with my sister, Carol, and Dick and their families.
Being the oldest of the "Stoddard Kids" I shall always remember the many good times that we had with your family picnicing at Mendon Ponds or at your farm. Also the incredible Halloween parties and scavenger hunts that your parents and mine and the Chapman's and others would go on. All good clean fun and lots of laughter and sharing of wonderful food. My mom sends her sympathy - as do the rest of us. She said that she saw you, Nancy, and Gary a few months ago when you were looking for a place for your parents to live. We never did learn where they ended up. Mom continues to live at the Ontario County Health Facility. I spent the day with her yesterday and took her out to lunch.
I trust that you will receive this message and please pass our sympathy on to your Dad.
