Barbara Hart Obituary
Lancaster, PA: Formerly of Rochester, NY, died Saturday, August 30, 2008, at Lancaster General Hospital.
She was the wife of John G. "Jerry" Hart, with whom she was married 61 years last January 23. Born in Syracuse, NY, she was the daughter of the late Ernest E. and Edna (Feeley) Smith. Surviving in addition to her husband are five children, Kevin E. married to Jane Turner Hart, of San Francisco, CA, Carolyn K. married to George Firth, of Missoula, MT, the Rev. Patricia Hart married to the Rev. Peter Newport, of Lancaster, Judith S. Hart, of Brooklyn, NY, and John Hart married to Ruth Lande, of New York, NY; four grandchildren, Patrick Tonks, of Ann Arbor, MI, Nicholas Tonks, of Minneapolis, MN, Charles Tonks, of Ithaca, NY, and Bill Hart, of Beijing, China, and one brother, David M. Smith, of Rochester, NY. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Ann Hart.
Mass of Christian Burial and interment will be held in Lancaster, PA. Kindly omit flowers. Memorial Remembrances can be made in Barbara's memory to a charity of one's choice. Dear Jerry,
I didn't know that Barbara had passed away. My heartfelt condolences and prayers. She was a true delight to my life. She was an incredible women and an inspirational to all of us.
