My deepest sympathies go out to all who knew Jim. Jim was a neighbor of my families for years and we couldn't have asked for a better one. I babysat Russ and Mindy and I couldn't have asked for a better "job" as a teenager. Our families enjoyed many good times together. As our families moved apart and I moved on, it would never fail, a couple years would go by, would run into Jim and he always had a huge smile, huge hug and a kind word. He will be very missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

My friend, Jim, will be missed by me and my sister Terri, and her husband, Jim Halsey. When I would be in town and would want to go for a bike ride, Jim would come by and take me on his bike, and my sister and brother-in-law would ride their bike and we would go out for the evening. I looked forward to seeing Jim and riding with him when I was in town. He will be missed.

My heartfelt sympathy to the entire family. Maureen, I met you at the races this past June in Syracuse. It was so excellent to see Jim and meet you for the first time. My friend Pete from Sharon Springs was with me and enjoyed meeting the two of you. Had I but known of the situation I would have been there to help support you...I'm still here if you need anything...let me know.
Jim's friend, forever and always!

To the Brasser Family,
When Jim's death was published in the newspaper I realized that Jim and I are distant cousins. Jim's grandfather, Ike Duste, was my Uncle and my Dad's half-brother. After reading all the guest book entires, I can tell that Jim was loved and admired. And, while I never had the privledge of meeting him, in my opinion he takes after his Granddad, Ike whom I loved dearly and miss. Cousin Florence and the rest of the family, I will pray that God will comfort you all.

Dear Maureen,

Quite by accident, we noticed Jim's obit and your name as his fiancee. Please accept our deep condolances to you and your children. From reading the previous entries in the guest book, Jim was a special person. We pray God will give you the grace to get through these next days.

With love,

Mo & Family,
Our lives have taken us on many journeys, we are blessed that one of our journeys took us to Wayne County HOG. Jim welcomed us in even though ya'll thought that we talked kinda funny. We enjoyed all of the trips following Big Daddy thru upper NY. Beautiful country side shared with beautiful people.
He will be greatly missed.

To know a man, who could bring a smile from the first meeting, shows what a spectacular and genuine person he was. I first met Jim when Chris and I were just thinking of joining the Wayne Co. HOG, he totally convinced us to join and share in the fun. Through the few years that we were members and right up to when I saw him for the last time, last year at Papa Joe's and met Maureen, he always made you feel like you were one of the most important people on earth. He always had a smile and a hug. You will be very sadly missed Jimmy.

Although I hadn't seen Jim in over 30 yrs. I can see he remained the same sweet, caring, generous man he was back then. God bless you JB.

To all of Jim’s family and friends – Mo, Mindy, Russ, Amanda, Shawn and Drew – our extended family in WC HOG and everyone who had the honor and pleasure to have ever known Big Daddy,

There are no words to describe our sadness. It is as if time has stood still. He was everyone’s Big Daddy, the beating heart of our extended family. We don’t know how to go on, but we all know we must – and he would have it no other way.

Thank you, Jim, for embracing the friendship of so many with your giant teddy-bear smile, your kindness, your humor, your example of how to live each day, and the never-ending memory we will all carry with us for the rest of our lives. We will never, ever forget you. We will all take care of things down here, knowing that we live different lives now and forever. Our memories of the many times we enjoyed together will lead the way to better days.

There’s a new star in the sky shining down on us tonight. Shine on, Big Daddy – forever rest in peace and ride free.

Love,

Linda Brown

There are no words to describe the hole that's left in our hearts with the passing of Big Daddy. We will just have to fill that hole with the tons of memories we have of times spent with him. He was the leader of our WCHOG family and so much more. We are all so sad without him, but so honored to have known him.

We will forever miss your presence here on earth, but will hold on tightly to your spirit!

Love and miss you Big Daddy.

You might not know us but we lived in Fairport for 5 years and I bought my first Harley in 2004 and joined the HOG group in Macedon and one of the first people we met was Jim Brasser and he welcomed us and we rode and were around Jim many times and he stayed in our place in Florida and Wisconsin. Losing a person like Jim is very sad---we will no longer have that smile, jokes and some of the best rides anyone can lead. We will always remember the good times--you have our deepest sympathy

Dear Maureen and Family of Maureen and Jim,

I am so sorry for your loss. Maureen I love you and so feel for your heart and your soul in your loss. I heard about this a few days ago at work and I am truly sad for you and your family. I know that you thought the world of Jim, and I can see by all the entries that he was a very special man.

It is with a heavy heart that I write this paragraph...
Jim Brasser was truly the warm-hearted bear of a man that he appeared to be. His skill at being a road captain was never questioned (except for those dirt roads!) and he was ALWAYS willing to lend a helping hand. As far as I am concerned the Wayne Co. HOG club was the Jim Brasser HOG club. Whether we were on a ride, admiring bikes, trading parts or eating (lots of eating) Jim was a true gentleman. He will be sadly missed.
Our condolences to all family members and to all the bikers that grew to love "Big Daddy"
RIP

Jim and I have had a running joke for the past several years, that I was the "favorite" among his children. Jim agreed, I absolutely was his "favorite daughter-in-law." As he only had one son, I had some stiff competition for that slot!

Thank You, Jim, for welcoming me into your family with open arms and loving me as one of your own. I will forever cherish the time we had together, love that it was full of laughter, and am honored to be your daughter-in-law.

Love,
The Favorite ;-)

We joined Wayne Co. HOG in 2007 and we already have stockpiled memorable events with Jim and Maureen. With some people you don't have to know them long to realize the good within. He was full of it:) He left his footprint on our hearts and we will always cherish the time we had with him.

I worked with Jim at Waste Management back in '92 & '93. I remember his big smile & laughter. I remember meeting him for lunch a couple of times in Webster when he was servicing the Xerox account. He always loved to give me a few friendly jabs (along with the rest of the Roll Off drivers at WM). Although I haven't seen him in over 15 years, I have great memories of a good man. RIP Brother.

I am so so sorry for the loss of a fantastic, kind, gental, trustworthly and one heck of a nice fellow. I could go on and on but, if you all knew Brasser the way I know you did you can definitely agree with me. My heart especially goes out to Maureen ,Russell and Mindyand the rest of the family.
I will never forget the time Jim and Renee helped me move into my apartment in Hilton. He sat in the rocking chair and my cat fell in love with is big bald head.My cat went right up behind him and laid right over his head licking it,rubbing her head all over his. He got the biggist kick out of it. I can still here him laughing.

Dear Maureen and the entire Brasser Famiy,

We are so sorry for your great loss.

We met Big Daddy in 2001 thru Kim Wyman. Dave and Big Daddy immediately hit it off and bonded with JD.

I think Dave may have been the only guy Big Daddy ever gave a ride to on his bike........hehe... that was quite the site.

In 2005 Big Daddy and Maureen road 5 hours, to Connecticut, for our Annual Labor Day Keg Party. A memory we will cherish forever.

Big Daddy was full of life and a great great person. Words cannot even express the sadness we are feeling.

Big Daddy you will be forever in our hearts and in our memories.

We love you.
