I am deeply saddened to hear of Cyndy's passing. She was a warm and enthusiastic carrousel and amusement park acquaintance and will be sorely missed. My prayers and condolences go out to her family and friends.

I am so sad to here about this. Cynthia Hanks was a very nice person to me. We went to Carousel's to ride on them and told stories about them. But now she can make lots more carousel's now in heaven.

I am so terribly shocked at this news, and will always remember Cyndy as the most lovely of ladies. She was always a lady, always conducted herself as such, so full of love and the Lord's divine spirit. We met at a carousel event in Minneapolis/St. Paul years ago, and I will never forget her warmth, her beautiful smile, and her even more beautiful soul. I remember visiting with her at her home and meeting her beloved Boojie. Those were such special times, and she will truly be missed by so many people.
Cyndy, you brightened the world with your presence, and now a dark cloud has descended on us. We must remember you are now with your Lord, and we will join you again someday. May God be with your family and many friends as we grieve your passing.

It is with deep sadness that we learn of Cyndy's passing. She was a bright spot in the world of lovers of carousels. Her contributions are known nationwide. All who share her passion have a feeling of loss. We give thanks for having known her.

Cyndy was one of the most compassionate, optimistic people I’ve had the privilege to know and work with. Through her kind words, reassuring touch, and sense of humor she comforted and encouraged so many of those around her at St. John’s Home. Cyndy was an extraordinary person taken too soon. She will undoubtedly be missed and we are better people for having known her.

In addition to a communications professional, Cyndy was a kind, good-hearted, and giving person. Everyone Cyndy worked with at Lazer is deeply saddened at her passing.

I'm deeply saddened with this as I've somewhat lost touch with Cyndy over the last couple of years.
We've talked very sparingly in regards to her book, website, my kids and of course her health. When she noted that the cancer had returned she was obviously in my prayers.
Now she can rest from her battles and my prayers are now with her family as I know she's in a better place.
My condolences and prayers to the Hennig and Hanks families.

I was shocked to see Cyndy's death notice in the paper. I took a nursing refresher course with her a few years ago and was so impressed with her knowledge, energy and kindness. Her smile could turn your day around. She was so optimistic and encouraging. She recruited me to work with her a few years ago and while I didn't take the job, I was touched by her thoughtfulness. I was so happy that the residents of St. John's had her to care for them. I know she was a bright spot in their days. I can only imagine how everyone will miss her. I only knew her a short time and feel a profound loss from her death. Please accept my sincere condolences at this time. She was a very special person.
