I dreamt about the both of you, again, last night. I woke up sobbing. Mary calmed me down and I was able to go back to a restless sleep. I decided to write a letter to the both of you.
Dear Mom and Dad,
Hard to believe that it’s been over a year since you left us. I hope that you’re dancing, together among the stars above us. With the support and encouragement of my beautiful wife, Mary, I have moved back to the Rochester area. In the short time that we’ve been back, I have rekindled my relationship with my son. Mom and Dad know that your grandson, Jesse, has grown into a wonderful person. Not only is he beautiful, he is very smart and is doing very well at college. (Must be Mona’s kid) Thru all of the past years’ trials and tribulations, Vito has been there for me, like the brother I never had. As the both of you already know, Vito is a truly special person and I love him dearly.
I miss you both, so much that it hurts my soul. I was lost, but thanks to Mary and Vito, I’m back, stronger than ever, looking forward to spending happier times with ALL of my family members.
Thank you Mom and Dad for teaching me right from wrong. Showing me how to be strong, yet gentle and giving me the courage to try new things in my life.
I will never forget you and most of all; I’ll never stop loving you.
