Robert Claesgens Obituary

Claesgens, Robert F.
Rochester: Robert F. Claesgens, 87, went to be with the Lord on Sept. 11 at 11:am 2008. This was an appropriate day for a hero that served his country in World War II as First Lt. U.S. Airforce, as Navigator - Bombardier 1944-1945 in Europe.
Bob was employed at The Eastman Kodak Co. main office in Rochester, NY until his retirement as Manager Custom Service International in 1984. Since moving to Florida in 1990 he served as Elder and in many other ways at First Presbyterian Church in Stuart. He also volunteered at St. Lucie Medical Center until his recent illness and death.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Dorothy; son John and wife Eileen; daughter Ruth Komar and husband Marc; grandson Sean Claesgens; granddaughter Kristin Butterworth and husband Andy; grandson Justin Hewgill and wife Tamia of British Columbia, grandson Derek Hewgill and wife Rachel. He also leaves 6 great-grandchildren.
He was pre-deceased his daughter Judith Gambill and her husband Richard and their son Christopher Gambill.
