Leila Grauert Obituary
Santa Rosa, CA: In loving memory of Leila B. Grauert who passed away peacefully on September 17, 2008, from complications of Alzheimer's. She was residing in Santa Rosa, California, and was 91 years old. Daughter of the late Hans and Julie Ammon Bernstorff, she was predeceased by her husband (Sept. 2, 1968) Dr. Hans J. Grauert and her son LT j.g. Hans Herbert Grauert, a naval aviator who was lost at sea in 1967 during the Viet Nam War. She is survived by her four children, Marion (William) Wilmot, Rochester, NY, Peter C. (Gypsy) Grauert, Petaluma, CA, Christopher M. (Debi) Grauert, Fairfax, VA, Alex (Karen) Grauert, Lake Oswego, OR, and fourteen grandchildren.
As per her request, her ashes will be placed in the Pacific Ocean on her upcoming birthday. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to: Hospice of Petaluma, 416 Payran Street, Petaluma, CA 94952, or a charity of your choice.
