Susanne Standing Obituary
Vogel
Dumfries, Virginia: Age 65, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2008, at her residence in Dumfries, Virginia, after a three year battle with Cancer. Mrs. Standing was born February 3, 1943, in Utica, New York, and was the daughter of the late James and Mary (Doyle) Vogel. She graduated from Utica Free Academy and Alfred University. She then went on to retire from Chemical Bank after 22 years of service.
Survivors include her husband, Retired New York State Trooper, John J. Standing and her daughter, Beth Benner of Dumfries, Virginia. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, David, Lalaina and Catherine Benner.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Monday, September 29, 2008, at the Mountcastle Funeral Home in Dale City, Virginia. A mass of Christian burial will be offered at 11:30 AM Tuesday, September 30, 2008, at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Triangle, Virginia. The burial will follow at Quantico National Cemetery in Triangle, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, Sue requested memorial contributions be made to the Susan G Komen for the Cure, 5005 LBJ Freeway, Suite 250, Dallas, Texas 75244.
