Tonya Benzing Obituary
Canandaigua: Sept. 29, 2008, age 59. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Leigh "Bud" Benzing; daughter, Rachel Benzing, of Victor; son, Todd (Marissa) Benzing, of Charlotte, NC; 2 grandchildren, Jordan Benzing, Sydney Carey; brother, Jeffery (Marilynn) Brown, of Brockport; 4 sisters, Shelley (Patrick) Dickerson, of Honeoye, Cindy (Richard) Mullen, of AL, Christina (Larry) Carter, of Bloomfield, Melissa (Collie) Woodard, of Canandaigua; many nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and cousins.
Friends may call Fri. 4-8 at Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home, Inc. 47 N. Main St., Canandaigua. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held Sunday at 2:00 at First Congregational Church, 58 N. Main St. Canandaigua. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Canandaigua. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Sands Cancer Center, 360 Parrish St., Canandaigua, NY 14424.

Words can not describe how sadden I am ...
What a wonderful and STRONG woman ... I am honored to know such a great woman and the man who stood by her through thick and thin
I have always looked up to her...
Her smile... Her laugh they way shed light up a room even in bad times she ALWAYS had a smile on....
I am so sorry for your loss
She will be deeply missed but her memory will LIVE STRONG

I am so very sorry you did not have more time with Tonya. She was truely a spectacular person. I was so shocked when you called last week with the news. I hope you can remember the great times you had together, and that those memories will give you some peace.

Bud,
I have not seen you or Tonya in years but remember both of you very fondly. Tonya was a great person. She had a wonderful smile and a very kind heart. I know she will be missed by all of you. It does not seem fair that such a nice person had to go through so much.
