Kevin Chappell Obituary
Newark: On Sept. 30, 2003 at age 49. He is survived by his wife Deb; daughter, Meredith Chappell; his parents Bob and Betty Chappell; his sister Karen Van Liew; niece Nora and nephew Max Van Liew, all of Newark; special friends Bob and Kathy Zappia, Jen Churey, John and Terry Schnaars. He was predeceased by his son Derrick in 2003.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4 PM on Wednesday (October 8th) at St. Michael's Church, South Main Street, Newark, New York. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
Memorials in his name may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society, Upstate Chapter, 1650 South Avenue, Suite 100, Rochester, New York 14620 or to the Derrick Chappell Memorial Fund, @Newark Central School, 100 East Miller Street, Newark, New York 14513.

If we choose to focus on the pain and sadness we feel in our hearts, it will weigh us down. If we choose to focus on our wonderful memories of Kevin, they will lift us up. Kevin was a beautiful man, genuine, dedicated to his family and generous with his friendship. His 'witticisms' were priceless and his sense of humor was addictive. Where Kevin was, good conversation and laughter was there. Thank you, Kevin, for letting us be a part of your life. Our memories will keep you with us always. We honor you and pray for you as you are embraced by God's love. Deb and Meredith, we keep you in our hearts every day through thought and prayer. We love you.

May the wonderful memories of Kevin/Dad help you through the difficult days ahead. He was a wonderful husband/father and I am the one that is so blessed to have come to know him through both of you. Deb and Meredith,
Kevin was and will always remain a great man to me. I work with Kevin at Hammer and he was always happy and full of life. He was always very proud of his family. Know that even though Kevin is not here physically he lives through all the lives he touched. I am thankful I had the opportunity to spend time with him and thank you for sharing him with us. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
