My Dear Friend Inger,
I am so very sorry that your amazing husband and best friend has gone to our heavenly home. He fought so hard for so long, and you were right there fighting with him, always. I am blessed to have gotten to know, and appreciate you both as my friends. How fortunate I am, that due to the many times I was able to help John remain comfortable, we had specific intervals throughout my shift to chit chat and joke about your wonderful puppy, and John's endless love for you, and the abundance of happiness your love brought to his life. He always would tell me " I am so lucky to have Inger, she is such a wonderful lady, I don't know how I ever was able to win her heart!"
Then I would have to remind him what an awesome person he is as well, and how you both were the lucky ones to have met each other in such a crazy world as ours. He' d laugh and agree, of course! I feel very priviledged for the times we all spent together, and I just want you to know, John is so right about you. You are very special and wonderful person, and I think about you, and John, every day. I pray for God's comfort over you, and His peace to be with you always. I miss you! Your Friend, Mary Foster

I personally will always treasure the way you were both so wonderful to Jesse & Lacey, you guys had quite an impacat on their young lives and I thank you for that.
I am certain your heart is aching and I wish I could take some of that pain from you, even for just one minute. Please know that we are all praying that your heart heals soon.
God bless you & John too!

Dear Family, Having spent many on over-night with John at Monroe ambulance I always enjoyed his humor and felt safer knowing that he was "watching" us from the other side of the radio. I am very saddened to hear of your loss.

You will be missed greatly! You were a great guardian and support system to me when we knew each other which will never be forgotten. To Inger, my thoughts and prayers go out to you and the entire family. John loved you dearly and it was so apparant when you were together! I will try to make it on Tuesday, but with my work and kids' schedules, it may be difficult. Either way, you're in my thoughts!

Dear Dan,

Losing a brother creates a serious void in one's life, and at such a young age, at times might seem so unfair. Cling to your faith,my friend, and the great promise of the resurrection. You, more than most, have the grace to endure. such times as these.

Our love and prayers are with you,and deepest sympathy to the entire Hurley family.
