GoodBye Momentarily
Shells of yesterday scatter in the wind,
all that was physically left of who you once were.
Memories, locked deep within,
cherished forever deep in my soul,
reminiscent of a touch, word or even a tone in your voice.

Tears burn trails of pain upon my parched skin;
as I brush them away - unwilling to betray how my heart aches.
Stifling the flow of emotions perched
reluctantly upon my shoulders, a book for all to read.

Reels of memories shared,
replay in my mind, touching me deeply,
never wanting to forget the influence you posed
no matter how small in my life, creating your own history.

Dove fly free of pain & turbulence,
soar high newly migratory angel,
as our balloons filled with love trail, never far behind.
