Yin Goon / Bing Yee Lew Obituary
Staten Island, NY: Passed away peacefully at home on Sept. 28, 2008, age 84. Bing arrived at Ellis Island in 1936 & lived with his grandfather in Rochester. He attended PS 15 & at Monroe High and graduated in 1944. As Army Reservist, Bing studied engineering at the University of DE. Bing moved to Staten Island, NY in 1949 where he & his wife, Kam-Ping Chan, lovingly raised 6 children, & became business owners, retiring in 2001.
Bing is survived by his children: Marie, Irene, Mabel, Raymond, Gary, Cindy & spouses; 9 grandchildren; his brother Bing-Bill Lew (Nancy); & his sister Pui-Youl Yee. A special thank you to his Monroe High buddy, Dr. Wesley Sauter, for his years of love, blessings & many fond memories.
Services will be held at Wah Wing Sang Funeral Home, in NY, NY on October 8 & 9, burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Brooklyn, NY. Contributions in his memory may be directed to your charity of choice.
